Internet - The Wifi name is 131B Marine Pde. The password is catherine (lower case).
Sonos Speakers - Once connected to the Wifi, you can use the Sonos speakers via Spotify. There is a speaker inside and also a speaker on the deck. The Sonos speakers can be linked together or run separately using the Sonos app.
Door Lock - The smart locks on both doors lock automatically. There is no need to use the switch on the back of the door. If the switch is left down when you go out, you will not be able to get back in.
Additional Linen and Towels - These can be found in the cupboard in the lounge room under the TV.
TV - The Samsung Frame TVs in the lounge and bedroom will sense movement and switch on automatically to a picture frame. When the TV is powered off with the remote, it will return to the picture frame. The screen will turn off completely after 5 minutes with no movement. To turn the TV completely off, hold down the power button for a few seconds.
Phone Charging - the bedside lamps support wireless charging. There is also USB charging on the side of the kitchen bench, on the wall near the table and behind the chopping board.
Dishwasher - there is a small single level dishwasher in the cupboard under the sink. As it is only half the size of a normal machine, it only requires the detergent powder to be half full.
Fireplace - bags of wood can be purchased from most of the local service stations. I would recommend one bag of kindling and one bag of wood. The flue control knob on the left hand side of the fireplace should be pushed in when starting the fire. The flue control is really only pulled out to slow the fire down when going to bed. To get the fire burning better, unlatch the door so there is a slight gap for a few mins. This will allow a draft to come through the open seal in the door to stoke the fire.
Heating - The fire provides very effective heating in the lounge room. The ceiling fans can be run in reverse to assist with pushing the hot air from the fire back down. The oil heater at the bottom of the stairs is a good location for heating the foyer area and the upstairs bedroom.
Outside Lounges - the cover on the outside lounges can be placed in the basket beside the bbq for storage.
BBQ - There is a spare gas bottle for the bbq inside the cane box beside the bbq.
Washing - the washing machine is a washer and dryer. Simply select which mode before starting. Slide out the refill draw to add one cap full of liquid for washing.
Parking - a car can be parked in the gap beside the garden. Parking is also very flexible anywhere around the large cul-de-sac.
Walking/Riding - there is good walking along the waterfront both left and right. It is an easy walk or bike ride to Raffertys Resort which has a nice restaurant, pool and cafe.
Cafe - there is a great cafe a few minutes walk down the road called Nords Wharf Trading Post. They are passionate about their coffee which is roasted onsite. The meals are excellent and frozen home cooked meals can also be purchased. See the Food Options link for more information.
Pharmacy - there are pharmacies at both Swansea and Lake Munmorah.
Bins - the red general rubbish and yellow recycle bins are located behind the bamboo fence. The bins go out on Sunday night.
Supermarket - there is a Woolworths/Coles/Dan Murphys in Swansea which is a 7 min drive north. There is also a Woolworths 7 mins south at Lake Munmorah. See map below.
